HEPCO merged in 2000 as a newly corporatized power utility following a presidential decree for privatizing the energy sector, in order to alleviate the burden off the government and encourage the private sector to participate in developing and investing in this essential sector. In 2005, HEPCO was fully operated by a highly qualified staff using the latest technologies in meter reading, archiving, and financial systems. HEPCO succeeded to be one of the fastest growing energy companies in the Palestinian territories. Our service area covers 92 square kilometers of the largest and fastest growing city in the West Bank.
